Why isn’t Victoria Beckham joining the Spice Girls 2019 reunion tour?

The news of the Spice Girls reunion tour has left fans in excitement after it was announced on Monday.

Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Melanie Brown will be performing their biggest hits from the 90’s next summer without Victoria Beckham.

Beckham, who was known as ‘Posh Spice,’ has since gone on to become of the world’s fashion icons since the pop band broke up in 2008.

The 44-year-old has her own luxury fashion label called Victoria by Victoria Beckham. Her company often participates at the London and New York Fashion weeks.

Why isn’t Victoria Beckham going on tour?

Brown, who often goes by ‘Mel B’ and ‘Scary Spice,’ said of Beckham’s absence on Loose Women that the fashion mogul is preoccupied at the moment.

“It’s just the four of us that are fully committed but Vic might join us at some point. I hope so,” she said.

Between 2011 and 2016, she served as a guest and main judge on the Australian and British versions of The X Factor.

She added: “It would be a shame if she didn’t. She’s got a full on life with her work commitments, fashion line and kids. She’s just not committing just yet.”

Despite Beckham not joining her fellow band mates, she is still supportive of them.

On Instagram, she posted a statement, which read: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!

“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.

“I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls.”

The girl band will be reuniting for a six-day tour next summer across the UK. This will be the first time the band have performed together since taking part in the London Olympics closing ceremony six years ago in 2012.

The awaited concert will see the group kick off in Manchester, with tickets set to go on sale at 10:30am on Saturday.
