Weather: Break out the blender drinks, Sunday’s high will be -13 C!

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, it’s a cold outside, After all, it’s January in Ottawa.

But it’s not quite so cold.  Temperatures have moderated somewhat since last week’s suffer-fest.

Environment Canada is predicting that Sunday will be mainly cloudy with clearing near noon and a high of -13 C.

Winds will be up to 15 km/h, giving a wind chill of -22  in the morning and -16 in the afternoon. The UV index will be low.

Tonight should see a low of -22 C with a -27 wind chill and a risk of frostbite.

Monday will continue to be cold and sunny, but Tuesday and Wednesday will be  more balmy (highs of -9 C and -7 C respectively) with flurries expected.

Brace yourself for another temperature plunge on Thursday.

There you go. (And we were just kidding about the blender drinks).
