WANTED: OPP seek help to identify person who may have been involved in robbery near Hawkesbury

Ontario Provincial Police officers are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who may have been involved in a robbery that occurred around 6 a.m. Friday near Hawkesbury.

In a media release, police said early Friday morning a woman entered an Esso Gas Station located at 345 County Road 17 in Champlain Township, and demanded money from the teller. Once she was provided an undisclosed amount of cash, the woman fled from the scene in a vehicle. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

The woman is described as a white female, wearing a black or dark blue sweatshirt with a hood and a pink shirt underneath. She was seen carrying a beige handbag. The woman was driving a black four-door hatchback. The car is believed to be an older model and is missing the front driver side hubcap.
