Genesis has released a teaser on its Korean Facebook page showing what appears to be the Genesis G90 under a tarp, revealing little but the headlights and the outline of the grille.
We already knew the G80 was getting a refresh for 2020, but this recently unveiled teaser shows the G90 should be getting a facelift, too.
Compared to the outgoing model, the brow is much more pronounced, and the headlights have a more aggressive shape reminiscent of the Dodge Charger’s headlights, with slim LED accents that stripe off horizontally.
The grille has also been changed, though it’s hard to tell exactly how: the horizontal slats have either been removed or recessed, and the shape looks to be more chiseled.
If we squint it actually kind of looks like a 2010 Mustang, which is a good thing. The rear of the car is not shown in the teaser, but we’re assuming it will receive some minor changes as well to go along with the design language shared with the G80 prototype and the Essentia concept. The body design looks to be unchanged, however.
Mechanicals are not expected to change, but Genesis said the new G90 will feature over-the-air navigation updates and active noise cancellation. The car will be released in South Korea in June of 2019.
