STEM School Highlands Ranch’s senior graduation will be at Denver Broncos training center

Graduation ceremonies for STEM School Highlands Ranch seniors will be Monday at the Denver Broncos‘ UCHealth Training Center in Dove Valley, school officials have announced.

The graduation will go from 6:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at 13655 E. Broncos Pkwy. in Englewood, according to the school’s events calendar.

Denver Broncos outside linebacker Bradley Chubb and placekicker Brandon McManus met with students during a graduation rehearsal on Thursday.

“Got a chance to meet the graduating seniors from the STEM School out here in Co. It was a blessing seeing smiles on those kids’ faces after such a tragic event,” Chubb tweeted.

The senior barbecue is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday at Civic Green Park, 9370 S. Ridgeline Blvd. in Highlands Ranch.

Graduation ceremonies will be held less than two weeks after two STEM students allegedly attacked the school’s campus on May 7, injuring eight students and killing 18-year-old Kendrick Castillo, who was set to graduate on Monday. The eighteen- and 16-year-old suspects face 48 charges in connection to the mass shooting including murder and attempted murder.

Castillo has been honored as a hero who was killed trying to stop one of the shooters.
