It has only been two years since the C238 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe made its world debut, but the folks at Stuttgart already seem to be working on the facelift model, as seen with this minimally-camouflaged prototype.
One thing is clear – the Coupe will get the same new aesthetic as its stablemates, the W213 Sedan, S213 Estate and X213 All-Terrain. The front fascia gets a new trapezoidal radiator grille flanked by a new pair of LED headlights, and the LED DRLs take form in the shape of arrows, much like the W177 A-Class.
The most notable change is none other than the OLED tail lights, a distinctive design trait that was first seen on the bigger S-Class Coupe. The overall shape of the tail lights will likely remain the same – slim and sleek, now made even better with those gorgeous Organic LEDs.
Elsewhere, expect minimal changes to the interior as well as the powertrain. Mercedes-Benz has already updated the E-Class range with the latest engines, such as the 299 hp 2.0 litre mild hybrid turbo petrol in the E 350, as well as the new 320 hp E 300 e and 306 hp E 300 de plug-in hybrids, each boasting a pure electric range of 50 km on a full charge. Are you excited to see the production model?
