Spice Girls fans have vented their frustration after losing out on tour tickets after Ticketmaster’s website crashed.
Tickets for the reunion tour, which takes places across the UK next year, went on sale at 10.30 this morning.
As thousands of fans eagerly waited to book their places, the Ticketmaster website crashed just minutes after tickets went on sale.
And angry fans took to their Twitter pages to slam the company and share their disappointment at missing out on the sought-after tickets.
One fan from Liverpool wrote: “You would of thought in this day and age with a company as big as Ticketmaster with all their knowledge of people buying tickets and gigs selling out they would be able to handle a Spice Girls ticket sale.”
Another said: “Thanks @Ticketmaster. “Something went wrong” over and over, then you offer me 31 May, then you give me a countdown with NO BUTTON TO CONFIRM. I don’t have swear words bad enough.”

An angry fan added: “@ticketmaster spice girls tickets secured 3 times and yet your system has crashed. Thanks for nothing!”
One other said: “Ticketmaster have let a lot of people down. There will be a lot of disappointed fans, but don’t worry, plenty on resale sites for 10 times their value…”

One saw the funny side and suggested that Victoria Beckham might have been behind the crash and wrote: “Prime Suspect REVEALED in hunt to find who crashed Ticketmaster during the Spice Girls sale.”
A Ticketmaster spokesperson told i: “The magic of the Spice Girls has certainly endured the test of time. There are hundreds of thousands of happy fans up and down the country getting hold of tickets. Demand is absolutely incredible and we recommend fans keep checking our social media channels for the latest updates.”
However, some savvy fans quickly logged on to the SeeTickets website – and successfully booked tickets for the tour.
One tweeted: “Shout out to anyone who managed to get Spice Girls tickets! I am beyond excited. @seetickets you legends.”
Another said: “Spice up You Life! I’m going to see the Spice Girls! # SpiceGirls can’t believe I got tickets! Thanks to @seetickets,” while another happy fan wrote: “I’m going to the @spicegirls – @TicketmasterUK had an epic fail this morning, but @seetickets saved the day! Spice up your life!”
Due to the huge demand, extra dates have been added to the tour which will now kick off in Manchester on May 31, and a new London date has been added for June 14.
The Spice Girls – Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Mel B – announced on Monday they were reuniting for a 2019 UK tour minus Victoria Beckham.
