San Pedro lands the new Country Freedom Festival with Cody Johnson

San Pedro has gone country.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 14, for the inaugural Country Freedom Festival, an all-day country music concert celebrating active military, veterans and first responders at the Port of Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 19.

So far the lineup includes recent 2019 Stagecoach Country Music Festival performers Cody Johnson and Honey County as well as Daniel Bonte. More performers are expected to be announced soon.

“We love supporting the men and women that serve our country and we are looking forward to honoring our first responders and military in October,” Dani Rose, of the L.A.-based trio Honey County, said in a statement.

In addition to the the music, the festival will include barbecue and other food vendors, mechanical bull rides, line dancing lessons and country yard games plus a Kids Zone for the little wranglers and watermelon-eating contests for the big eaters.
