Results: Edmonton-Beverly-Clareview returns Deron Bilous to the legislature

Voters in Edmonton-Beverly-Clareview re-elected NDP MLA Deron Bilous to a third term Tuesday night.

“I’m very proud of the campaign that we ran,” said Bilous from the Shaw Conference Centre Tuesday night. “The fact that I was re-elected for my third term is my honour.”

The 43-year-old former high school teacher, the minister of economic development and trade under Notley, said the UCP was “very thin on diversifying the economy.”

“They voted against every energy diversification bill we put before the legislature. Kenney believes that a simple corporate tax cut will do it and we’ll hold his feet to the fire because he’s made a lot of promises that Albertans want to see him deliver.”
