Raid on two Ottawa addresses leads to drug charges

Ottawa police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man after an investigation into allegations of drug trafficking.

Allegations were initially reported to police, leading to an investigation into the behaviour earlier in November. According to police, the investigation revealed enough information for a raid to be planned at a home on Merkley Drive and another on Gilmour Street. Police found a case of ammunition, cannabis, magic mushrooms, Methamphetamine, cocaine, hashish, LSD and $15,000 in Canadian currency.

Police have charged Kyle Broomer, 24, of Ottawa, with possession for the purpose of trafficking, production of a controlled substance and possession of proceeds of crime. He is expected to appear today in an Ottawa court room.
