President Klaus Iohannis, alongside his wife Carmen Iohannis participated on Sunday morning in the Resurrection Mass at the ‘Holy Trinity’ Roman Catholic Church, situated in the Great Square of the historic centre of Sibiu.
The head of state was cheered upon exiting the church by a few locals and tourists present in the Great Square.
President Klaus Iohannis conveyed good wishes to all Romanians, both to those who celebrate Easter and those who celebrate the Palm Sunday.
“I wish all those who celebrate Easter today to welcome the Lord’s Resurrection with joy and peace of mind. Christ is Risen! A good thought goes to those who celebrate the Palm Sunday, along with a warm “Many happy returns!’ to those who celebrate their saints’ day,” Iohannis wrote on Facebook on Sunday.
Last year, Klaus and Carmen Iohannis have also spent the Easter in Sibiu. The two of them attended in 2017 the Resurrection mass at the Roman Catholic Church, as well as the service on Sunday.
