Ottawa police link black SUV to daytime burglaries in Barrhaven

A black Mazda SUV that police asked the public to help them find after a “suspicious incident” in Barrhaven has now been linked to a string of daylight break and enters.

Police believe the vehicle, with Ontario licence plate CAMB974, is tied to burglaries targeting jewelry, cash and small electronics.

Anyone who spots the SUV, or suspicious activity, is asked to call west criminal investigations at 613-236-1222 ext 2666.

Police added a safety tip: “hide your valuables at home, store them in a proper safe or properly secured location,” police said. “Use a location other than the bedroom or closet for your valuables.”
