Denver Police are investigating a fatal crash involving two vehicles — one of which collided into a house, the department said Friday.
Preliminary findings from the investigation show that the driver of a van ran a stop sign and collided with a sedan. The van also hit a house in the 800 block of South Patton Court in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood, spokesman Doug Schepman said in an email.
The driver of the van was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence. He was also taken to the hospital, although he did not appear to have serious injuries, Schepman said.
UPDATE: This is now a fatal crash. The cause remains under investigation. #Denver

The man driving the sedan died at the scene, and a child who was also in the car was taken to the hospital as “a precaution.” Individuals who were in the house at the time of the crash are uninjured. Schepman said.
