The Transportation Safety Board is investigating what police called a “minor derailment” at a Calgary train yard Sunday.
Police said they were notified of an incident in the southeast at the Canadian Pacific Railway Alyth train yard by railway police around 7 a.m.
A spokesperson with the TSB said the 58-car train was in the yard and switching tracks at the time of the incident and it is unknown how many cars have been derailed.
No injuries or spills were reported.
An investigator from the TSB has been sent to investigate the cause of the derailment and assess any potential damage.
