Murder charges approved in death of 87-year-old Vancouver woman

A 23-year-old Surrey man has been charged in the death of Elizabeth Poulin.

Nicholas Dwayne Wallace was charged on Tuesday morning with second-degree murder in Poulin’s death.

On Nov. 24, police were called after a relative found the 87-year-old dead in her apartment near Kingsway and Kerr in east Vancouver. Investigators arrested Wallace two days later in Surrey.

Wallace remains in custody. There is no further information at this time.
