The man killed when he got caught in a large tilling machine Monday afternoon has been identified by the Weld County Coroner’s Office as Ray Garner, 65, of Brighton.
Erie police say Garner was in a field near the 500 block of High Street on Monday when his clothing got caught in an auger. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have said the death appears to be an accident, but the case is under investigation by Erie police, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and the Weld County Coroner’s Office.
