Man charged with loaded gun after call to cops for help: authorities

A call to police to help a Jersey City who was apparently being threatened led to the man’s arrest Sunday night on weapons charges, authorities said.

Marquis Praylow, 22, was charged with possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and two counts of bail jumping.

Hoboken police said they received a call that Praylow had been threatened inside a Hoboken Housing Authority building. Police found Praylow in the area of of 655 Sixth Street and arrested him because of outstanding warrants, Hoboken Lt. Edgardo Cruz said. 

Police officers searching Praylow found that he was carrying a loaded gun, Cruz said. Praylow was processed at police headquarters and taken to Hudson County jail.
