Just Like Heaven, a brand-new festival headlined by indie bands such as Phoenix, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT and Beach House, announced it is adding a second day after tickets for the previously announced fest on Saturday, May 4 sold out in minutes.
The festival set for the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach will now kick off with an almost-identical lineup on Friday, May 3. Tickets for the Friday fest will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, with prices starting at $99.
The festival also will feature acts such as Grizzly Bear, Miike Snow, Neon Indian, Passion Pit, the Faint, the Rapture, She Wants Revenge, and Peter, Bjorn and John.
Louis XIV will play on Friday, May 3 only, so fans who got shut out when tickets for Saturday, May 4 went on sale last week will get a little bit of a bonus.
Fans were not happy last week at how quickly the tickets were snapped up, but also at how swiftly the lowest-priced $99 tier seemed to vanish.
The promoter Goldenvoice is demonstrating its serious intentions for using the Queen Mary Events Park for music after forming a partnership with the venue in late 2017. Last weekend the One Love Cali Reggae Fest was held there.
