El Dorado girls basketball player Kenedy Lilly scores 57 points, just misses county record

Kenedy Lilly produced another offensive explosion Thursday.

El Dorado’s 6-foot-5 center broke her own school record from last season by scoring 57 points in a 72-35 victory against California at the Covina Classic.

Last season, the UC Davis-bound senior set the school single-game record with 50 points against El Monte at the Covina tournament.

The Orange County record for most points in a game is 61 by Tracy Titus of Loara in the 1990-91 season.

Lilly’s effort on Thursday helped El Dorado reach the consolation final of the tournament.

She is averaging 30.1 points per game.

Earlier this week, Crean Lutheran freshman point guard scored Taylor Feldman scored a school-record 51 points in a victory against Orange.
