Crews work to rescue 2 men trapped in trench in Windsor

Crews are attempting to free two men who are trapped in a 15-foot trench in Windsor.

Crews responded to the construction site in the 900 block of Camberly Court around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Windsor Fire Chief Kris Kazian told Denver7 that the two men — a 24-year-old and a 48-year-old — were in the trench on a new home construction site when it collapsed, filling with dirt.

Kazian said crews are in contact with one of the victims. At least 30 people from surrounding agencies are on scene assisting with rescue efforts.
