Cold temperatures ease up (for now) as snow moves in

Cold or snow?

Those seem to be the only two options that we have these days.

The deep freeze will rise from Monday morning’s -19 C only to be replaced by that other wintery delight – snow.

There’s a frostbite warning as wind chill is making the morning temperature feel more like -28.

The good news is that there will be a window of sunshine this afternoon, so if you have a moment go outside and enjoy some rays.

Today’s high should reach -9 C by this afternoon. Tonight’s low will be -15 C.

There’s a chance of snow tonight and the wind chill will, unfortunately, still be around, making it feel like -21.

Tuesday’s high will be -6 C, the low only -7 C. Expect flurries on and off throughout the day.

Wednesday is an odd one with a high of -4 C and a low of -26 C.

Thursday bounces back up to -14 C (with some sun!). Snow and a low of -15 C is expected at night.

Beyond that, there’s a lot of clouds and flakes in the forecast.

The average high for this time of the year is -6.3 C and the average low is -15.6 C.
