BALTIMORE — Melvin Gordon left Sunday’s AFC wild-card game against the Baltimore Ravens with a knee injury, but quickly returned.
Gordon returned to the field on the Chargers’ first drive of the second quarter and took a hand off that went backwards for a loss of two yards.
The Chargers’ star running back fell to the field in pain after a 2-yard run near the goal line with 7:43 in the first quarter.
Gordon walked off the field under his own power and went to the locker room. The Chargers said his return to the game was questionable.
Gordon missed four games in the regular season because of injuries. He recently returned from an MCL sprain that forced him to miss three consecutive games.
