Backstreet Boys are back in Ottawa, with a date at Bluesfest July 14.
About a quarter-century after the band broke out of Orlando, Fla., they’re embarking on their “biggest stadium tour in 18 years” in support of a new album, DNA.
The Bluesfest date falls right in the middle.
All in their 40s except for Nick (The Baby) Carter, who’s 38, the quintet has largely maintained a strong presence on the music scene. Most recently, they had a 14-month residency in Las Vegas, which ends April 27.
On Friday, they released the album’s first single, Chances penned by Ryan Tedder and Shawn Mendes. The album will officially be released Jan. 25.
The tour kicks off in May in Europe. Here’s a promo video.
Bluesfest officials were not immediately available for comment.
