For the 48th year in a row, Barrett-Jackson auctions is continuing its tradition of supporting charities, and this year at its Scottsdale, Arizona event, it’s offering up 14 vehicles whose sales will benefit charitable organizations.
The most exciting lot set to cross the block will no doubt be a collection of Chevrolet Camaros used during the filming of all five Transformers movies.
The first is the original classic Camaro used in the Transformers (2007) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) films; the second is a 2010 Camaro used in Transformers: Dark of the Moon; and the third is a 2013 Camaro used in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Lastly, the 2016 Camaro from Transformers: The Last Knight will also be grouped into the same sale.
The cars will be auctioned off as a set of four so as to not break up the movie-car mini-collection, with all proceeds from their sale going to benefit Operation Homefront, a U.S. national non-profit with the goal of building stable and strong military families.
Along with a few other charity auctions, the first production 2020 Toyota Supra – VIN 20201 – will also be crossing the block to benefit 9/11-impacted veterans and their families.
The build slot for the first 2020 Shelby Ford Mustang GT500 will also be put up for grabs for a good cause; as will a special Heritage edition Ford GT, VIN 001, featuring commemorative Gulf paint scheme and No. 9 graphics.
