Joleen Corona, Whittier Christian, Jr.

The point guard made a 3-pointer and a breakaway layup off her steal to snap a tie and lead the Heralds to a 41-32 victory against Claremont in the second round of the Division 3AA playoffs.

Cailyn Crocker, Mater Dei, Sr.

The Cal-bound point guard scored all of her team-high 16 points in the second half to help the Monarchs tie Windward in the final minute of regulation in the Open Division. Mater Dei fell 53-49 but Crocker still sank three of her four 3-pointers in the fourth period.

Liza Hladek, San Juan Hills, Sr.

Hladek scored 19 points, giving her 986 for her career, to help lead the Stallions past Pioneer in the Division 3A second round. She needs 15 points on Wednesday to become the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Megan Klein, Orange Lutheran, Sr.

Coach Tom Howard asked the forward to mark Orangewood Academy’s best player Saturday night in the Division 2AA second round. Klein responded with strong defense to help the Lancers reach the quarterfinals with a 43-40 victory.

Mayleen Lopez, Anaheim, Jr.

The guard scored 26 points, including eight 3-pointers, to lead the Colonists to a 59-40 victory against Ontario Christian in the second round of the Division 4A playoffs.
