AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is offering free admission for all guests on Presidents Day, Monday Feb. 18.
The Summit County Historical Society is partnering with the zoo for the event and will offer free presidential crafts for kids while supplies last.
Summit County Historical Society President and CEO Leianne Neff Heppner will also be at the event to talk about the sheep and stock dogs that come to the Perkins Stone Mansion each summer.
“The zoo is a great partner with the historical society,” Neff Heppner said. “They are on land the Perkins family donated to the city in the past and it just makes for a great collaboration.”
The historical society is located on the Perkins Stone Mansion property.
Winter zoo hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parking is $3 per vehicle.
