AKRON, Ohio – The City of Akron has selected Constellation to provide residents and small businesses with natural gas following a competitive bidding process under the state’s natural gas aggregation program.
In 2016, Akron voters approved the creation of an aggregation program, which helps keep costs in check by allowing for the bulk purchase of natural gas.
The program begins with the February 2019 meter reading.
To learn more about the program or to opt in, call 1-833-500-2738.
City residents eligible for the program will receive a notice in the mail from Constellation in the next few days. The notice explains the rate, terms, conditions and ways to enroll in the program. Residents who aren’t interested in the program can opt out by phone, mail or online at constellation.com/oh-Akron.
