Remembrance Day ceremonies large and small will mark 100 years since the First World War ended.
In special recognition of the 100th anniversary, city hall, Muttart Conservatory, the High Level Bridge and the Alberta legislature will be lit red.
Crowds can pay their respects with veterans and service members Sunday at the following area locations, with a reminder to arrive early:
City Hall Remembrance Day Service
The City of Edmonton service will be led by the commanding officer, The Loyal Edmonton Regiment. Seating will start at 9:45 a.m. and is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests are requested to be seated no later than 10:10 a.m.

Armistice 100 Tribute at Alberta Legislature Grounds
A special ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice to end the First World War. Experience the Piling of the Drums tribute ceremony and honour guard, leave a message of peace at the John McCrae Poppy Labyrinth, see the Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians) and take in the many exhibits. Bring your stories and mementos to the Memory Wall.
